I actually disagree I’ve been building this take all year and this is where I’m at right now. First keep Fields, in my uneducated opinion we are not going to get enough back. I personally would start listening at a first round pick and I just don’t think we get that. Now I agree I’m done with that nonsense. Draft a qb. Run the offense through Fields, he’s at least okay and has shown when he’s healthy he does some pretty cool things. There’s something there and so far he’s earned another shot. Design packages for the rookie to come in. Don’t just leave him on the bench get him some nfl experience and speed the internal clock up. Plus now defenses have an extra look to prepare for. We get to the end of next year now the coach gets to choose if he wants Fields after spending a year with him. Make an offer, let him walk if he doesn’t accept and take the comp. You also know what you have in your rookie too. No need to send Fields packing just because Flus and Getsy are losers.

Fans rightfully want Flus gone yesterday, but is it even possible he gets let go mid season. First the mcCaskeys don’t do that but let’s say shit is changing in the FO with the new org structure. Now we already fired our running backs coach and more importantly our DC this year. So Flus is let go, a position coach is now calling defensive plays and special teams is now our head coach? We definitely can’t fire Getsy also so I don’t expect our offense to look any better week to week. Our defense is playing better than I expected this year so I don’t feel like they are going to show anything different. And say what you want about the coaches during the game but I actually think players have improved a lot over the past year so I think we are stuck with flus until week 18. Then we better move on

In Poles defense he’s shown that his willing to cut his losses on mistakes and moves on. I just want to apologize for saying I don’t care if Flus stays or goes last week. Dude really doesn’t have the team together on anything and there is just an overwhelming amount of panic at the end of games.

Getsy I feel is a gotta go no matter what, he’s made the same mistake two years in a row and there’s really no sign that he’s changing his philosophy.

Flus i really really don’t give a shit, he’s got the defense looking a little better since Allan Williams was fired and we expected this defense to be awful at the start of the year. I think it’s easy to hate a head coach when the team is losing but there’s nothing to really point to that’s fireable. Like you said a lot of coaches are jags.

I really like poles’ philosophy and think he’s staying no matter what. I like how he treats draft picks as liquid asset. Sure he didn’t make the right move on claypool but he’s gotten so much more back from other places. His OL is coming together very nicely. He has put there Bears in a very nice situation to abandon ship on him though lol.

I’m a Fields guy but I really don’t see him being the qb next year. I think he’s got a lot of the intangibles that he could still be successful despite the body of work he’s put up so far. Don’t get me wrong he’s got glaring weaknesses. I just feel he’s got as good of chance to clean those up and turn it around as any dude coming out of college has the chance to succeed. If you’ll let me be delusional if poles must draft a qb, I still don’t see any reason to ship Fields off unless there’s a haul of picks coming back. Just force him to be Taysom Hill if he wants play time and take a comp pick if he walks in 25
