Time for a first ever Fields-engineered game-winning drive
Decisive but throws interceptions vs annoyingly unable to pull the trigger but exciting when he runs
And who really cares … just different styles of crappiness that will be painful to watch.
The offense was so frustrating that I didn’t really appreciate enough what the defense did. Yes, I know, I know the Vikings didn’t have QB1 or WR1 but I’ll take what I saw as progress.
Maybe it’s time to stop trying to be an NFL team of the future or even present and focus on what we used to do when we were good. Build a team around strong defense and a running game. We’re terrible at drafting QBs so we should use those top two picks to build a team and not just obsess about the QB positions. I’m of the opinion that Fields sucks as a passer and would be shocked if he turned that around but wasting another 1st round pick on a QB is something the Bears should avoid.
