I’ve had the exact opposite experience.

I did experience battery drain issues but that was quickly fixed with the 17.1 update (it was definitely software related).

So far I’ve had no issues and I’ve enjoyed the 15 Pro over my 13 Pro significantly.

It’s just easier.

• I don’t worry about not getting the latest updates (I know I will for at least 5-6 years)
• I don’t worry about having infinite customization and needing to make my OS look “perfect” because iOS is very limited (personally in a good way)
• I don’t have to worry as much about vulnerabilities (I know they do exist on iOS but they’re far less than Android)
• I don’t have to worry about my phone getting slow in only 2 years time

It’s just easier on iPhone. More often than not, it truly does “just works”.

I was on android for 6 years and in that time I’ve owned 3 phones because the damn things would slow down horribly after 2 years of use (and these were flagships as well). Every year I would worry if my phone would get the latest Android update or for how long it would be supported in general for. The infinite customization actually got annoying after a while because it’s one of those things where if it’s there, you might as well use it so I felt obligated to customize my phone in some manner every now and then. Apps were inconsistent in performance or in design continuity. The list goes on.

I’m pretty much magsafe wireless all the time now. At my desk, on my nighstand, my car.

It’s just so easy. You plop it down and set and forget. Especially with the new “charge only to 80%” feature, it’s amazing.

I’m loving it so far.

I’ve mapped it to a shortcut that opens a menu that makes it act like a second control center.

It still functions as a mute toggle but also for rotation lock, turn on flashlight, etc. Very versatile and customizable.

If I’ve learned anything, you can sell anything at any price as long as you know your market, your demographic, and know how to bullshit.

I have set up as a shortcut where it opens a menu and displays a few options (toggle silent, toggle rotation, toggle flashlight, ask ChatGPT, turn on room lights)

It essentially acts like a second control centre but fully customizable to anything you like

So far the 15 Pro has been absolutely perfect.

The last 3 things that bothered me pre 15 pro was the slow USB 2.0, the super sharp corners and the heaviness.

All 3 of those were fixed with the 15 Pro and I no longer have any major issues going forward.
