Fair points. But I think the majority of people who use a sauna probably use them at health clubs, so they probably already exercise. That’s where I use mine and I work out every day. I’m thinking that the sedentary shut-in (i.e. Most of lemmy! haha) probably ain’t thinking of getting a sauna. They’d rather just keep having hot pockets and keep doomscrolling all day.

I would never use it. But if it makes all the overweight angry Lemmy posters feel better about themsevles and less nihilistic, then I am all for it. Because Lemmy is becoming a cesspool of toxicity, extremism, and anger lately.

I’ve worked out and ate well all my life, so it’s not needed for me. I go to my yoga class every morning, so unhealthy lifestyle people just aren’t around in my circle. I also live in a healthy city. But I’m definitely sus about GLP-1’s exploding in popularity all of a sudden.

I hope it works out fine for everyone, but it sure doesn’t seem to have much long-term testing to make me feel comfortable.
