news@lemmings.world•Most Americans think their fellow citizens are bad people, survey saysEnglish
19·15 hours agoI think the US government is ran by idiots (both parties), not fascists. Lemmy thinks every single person that doesn’t agree with them is fascist. lol

14·16 hours agoI think it’s fine to hate fascists. My point is that Lemmy thinks way too many people are fascists, just because they don’t agree with them. You all use the word too much. Just because someone doesn’t agree with you on something, doesn’t mean they are a fascist. You really need to look up the meaning and the history of that word.
The fact that you all think that America is fascist or that every single republican is a fascist is hilarious to me. I’m not even republican, but you guys are way too over the top on this.
Keep praying for that revolution. Because it ain’t gonna happen.
The fact that you don’t get that, sorta proves my point. But hey, you do you. I don’t hate you :)

14·17 hours agoWhich has nothing to do with the comment you directed towards me saying that I am privileged. You are privileged as well. You are living up to the articles title.

25·18 hours agoHow many people were there compared to the population of the US? Dude, it was less that 2 percent of the entire U.S. population. 2 percent! lol That means that 98 percent of the population had nothing to do with that protest.
I bet not even the majority of Lemmy showed up for those protests! lolololol
What was accomplished? What changed? What policies changed? Everyone in power then, is in power now.
Nothing changed. That’s not to say I’m against protests; I think protesting is awesome. But to think that everyone is on board with Lemmy’s ideas is maximum cope. Lemmy is full of people that are too extreme and too nerdy for reddit. Think about that. lol
Hope your day gets better, tho. We can agree to disagree. All is good!

34·19 hours agoBut the facts are still real. You can be mad all you want that ai is everywhere. Doesn’t take away the fact that some dude decided to go out and wash homeless resident’s clothes rather than right anti-ai manifestos on Lemmy.

28·19 hours agoMost of Lemmy is privileged enough that they don’t have to worry about abducted off the street by government men in masks, or have healthcare restricted by religious fundamentalists, or drivers license being stripped by the state for ideological reasons. So does that mean nothing said can be valid?
QuantumTickler@reddthat.comto
news@lemmings.world•Most Americans think their fellow citizens are bad people, survey saysEnglish
28·19 hours agoWhat? That has nothing to do with what I said, other than you are proving that people on Lemmy are throwing around words like “fascism” way too much. lol

news@lemmings.world•Most Americans think their fellow citizens are bad people, survey saysEnglish
26·19 hours agoLol okay bud. Polling shows at least 30% of Americans support
Ok, so if we go by your logic, then 70% are concerned and will do something about it. Right? So how come no revolution yet?
Lemmy also said that after the Luigi thing happened that there was gonna be a big change. Execs were gonna go down. People were gonna eat the rich. People just weren’t going to put up with it anymore!!! The revolution was about to star!! lolol
So what changed? Where is that revolution?
Bruh, most people don’t care. And most aren’t as angry as Lemmy is about it. That’s just a fact. Lemmy is an extremist echo chamber and it is quickly forgetting that not everyone agrees with them. That doesn’t mean you have to hate people tho.
Enjoy smugly shoving your head in the sand, it doesn’t make you as enlightened as you seem to think it does. You just sound naive.
k! :)

General News@reddthat.com•Taking the heat. Scientists explore sauna's health benefitsEnglish
1·20 hours agoFair points. But I think the majority of people who use a sauna probably use them at health clubs, so they probably already exercise. That’s where I use mine and I work out every day. I’m thinking that the sedentary shut-in (i.e. Most of lemmy! haha) probably ain’t thinking of getting a sauna. They’d rather just keep having hot pockets and keep doomscrolling all day.

news@lemmings.world•Most Americans think their fellow citizens are bad people, survey saysEnglish
213·20 hours agoI think that’s extremist talk. America isn’t full of fascists. That’s lemmy hyperbole because you all just click over and over on bad news.
Lemmy is not even close to being a snapshot of the American public. Most people don’t even care enough about stuff like that to vote. Oh and you all hate them too.
Lemmy is a bunch of doomscrollers waiting for, and hoping for, the end of the world. Most people in the real world are just going to work, having BBQ’s on the weekends, and mowing the lawn, and hanging out in parks with their kids on saturdays.
In a few years, we’ll elect a Democrat president (even tho Lemmy wants people to believe elections will be outlawed! lolol), and nothing will change. People will still be going to work, bitching about their paycheck, and having BBQ’s on the weekends, and mowing the lawn, and hanging out in parks with their kids on saturdays.
Then after that, we’ll get another Republican president. And nothing will change. People will still be going to work, bitching about their paycheck, and having BBQ’s on the weekends, and mowing the lawn, and hanging out in parks with their kids on saturdays.
People like you have been saying the world was about to end for as long as I can remember. lol
Feel free to stay angry and yell at the sky while typing manifestos on Lemmy. I’m going to hang out at the park by my house and enjoy life. :)

318·22 hours agoMost Lemmy posters think their fellow citizens are bad people, that’s for sure! l have never seen as much vile hatred in the real world, as I’ve seen on Lemmy lately. Take a walk through some politics subs and see for yourself. You all drop words like nazi, fascist, and sockpuppet for every little thing. It’s getting crazy. No wonder we aren’t growing as social platform. Only extremists are sticking around.
I like people though! You don’t have to hate someone just because they don’t have the same beliefs as you do.
Ya’ll need to calm down. lol

11·2 days agoYou think me saying I workout every day is a humble brag? That’s a humble brag now?! Seriously?! Is everyone so out of shape that saying ya work out every day is a humble brag?! Say what, mate?
Working out every day isn’t a humble brag. It should be a way of life. Working on being and staying healthy isn’t a fucking humble brag. My yoga class is at Planet Fitness. Planet Fitness costs $14 a month. What is humble brag about that?
What did I make up about science? Please tell me where I made anything up. I said I don’t think there has been long term testing so I wouldn’t mess with it. That’s my personal opinion. I didn’t make up anything. Another post in this thread gave this information: “It’s too early to have much data, but there is some evidence that GLP-1 blockers are exacerbating eating disorders like anorexia: https://shmabstracts.org/abstract/glp-1-induced-anorexia-what-to-do-when-the-medicine-works-too-well/” Are they making that up? Are you accussing them of making up theories about science?
Do you think there has been long enough testing? If so, go for it. Get the fat shot/pill. I wouldn’t, but you are free to.
And how old should accounts be before they can post opinions? You realize that everyone has start out with a new account, right? Your account is 9 months old. So not even a year. So should I not take your opinion seriously since it’s not a year old yet? What’s the time frame?

37·2 days agoI would never use it. But if it makes all the overweight angry Lemmy posters feel better about themsevles and less nihilistic, then I am all for it. Because Lemmy is becoming a cesspool of toxicity, extremism, and anger lately.
I’ve worked out and ate well all my life, so it’s not needed for me. I go to my yoga class every morning, so unhealthy lifestyle people just aren’t around in my circle. I also live in a healthy city. But I’m definitely sus about GLP-1’s exploding in popularity all of a sudden.
I hope it works out fine for everyone, but it sure doesn’t seem to have much long-term testing to make me feel comfortable.

Exactly. But most of Lemmy is way too young to understand this. Which is why Lemmy is so angry all the time.
