Someone else is going to fumble and cause us to lose and then the Fields truthers will say it’s not his fault we lost.

Fields has got to be the worst QB in a close game in the 4th quarter in NFL history. It really is insane how much he kills us every single time.
We are past the point of needing to evaluate every snap to see if Fields is good or not. He is what he is at this point. He can not play at a high level consistently. He can play at a high level for a drive. He can play at a high level for a half, even. You can find a handful of examples where you can argue he played at a high level for an entire game. But he can’t do it repeatedly, week after week. For every high, there are 3 or 4 lows. For every amazing play or drive there are just as many, if not more, catastrophic game changing mistakes. You just can’t win like that, which is obvious if you look at our win loss record.
Even if it turns out that Hurts is the worst QB of all time and his success is totally a result of having a stacked team, how does that help us? What does that have to do with Fields? We don’t have a stacked team with great coaching. We have bad coaches and below average talent. Who cares if Fields could have been something for some other team in some other existence if circumstances were different? We have to make a decision about his 5th year option and we are likely to have the #1 overall pick. We already passed up on what looks like an MVP level QB in CJ Stroud in this most recent draft. We can’t pass on a chance at the top QB prospect again. That’s just dumb.
You have it backwards. Harbaugh has been desperately trying to come back to the NFL for a while and no organizations want him. NFL teams are not trying to get him to come to their organization.
A lot of these fumbles are actually just bad shotgun snaps by the center (we have the worst snapping center in the world if you don’t know) that count as a fumble against Fields.
