The Bears would be complete idiots if they gave up on Fields. It’s really unfair to judge him off wins & losses considering his situation. In his rookie season he had an incompetent coach in Nagy who did everything in his power to make Justin unsuccessful just to prove a point. Last year, his first season starting he was on a team that had been completely gutted with absolutely no talent around him & this year they’ve been decimated by injuries up until the Detroit game & just started their rebuild by bringing in Montez Sweat. Luke Getsy is the biggest problem on this team. Ryan Poles stated this was a 2 to 3 year rebuild and it’s only into its first full year of it. They have Justin for at least one more season before they have to decide on a 5th year option & I’m willing to bet everything I own that after one more free agency & draft that Fields will lead this team to the playoffs. The Bears franchise needs to stop firing & rehiring GM’s and coaches and let this staff build their team! They gave Nagy 4 years and he was awful & only had one good year because of the defense that was left for him his rookie season as coach then he went backwards! These guys are only into year 2 and just beginning to show they know what they’re doing. Justin Fields needs to stay. If the Bears let him go it will go down as one of the biggest mistakes in franchise history.
