He didn’t play perfectly. But he played well, ran the offense competently… didn’t look lost. Got through his progressions… got first downs and made some plays…
He’s NFL quality starting QB… might not be for the bears if they end up with the first or second pick… but he’ll 100% get a shot somewhere and I really don’t wanna see what he’d do against this defense with their piss-poor tackling.
You know… All I really wanna see at some point this season is a fake screen.
Just snap to fields, have him pump-fake to the outside… you know like every other f-ing play they run. Then have the outside reciver release, and throw it to him when everyone bites. It’s an easy touchdown… You’ve been priming the defenses for it for 20 straight games.
I still think the bears have a chance of sliding out of top 2 and keeping fields…
If they are 1 or 2 then Fields is out… But i think they keep him over QB3.
Fields is 85% already out… Even if he plays like a golden god the rest of the season… he’s still gonna get traded if the bears have the #1 pick.
The only question is if he’s gonna rush for 200 yards when the bears play Atlanta next year with a rookie QB at the helm.
There’s still a chance he stays at least 1 more year… If the Panthers can win 2 or 3 down the stretch.
If the bears get Another 1st overall pick… Them he’s gone… But if they get knocked down to 3 I think he stays if he plays well…
I do think he could ball out somewhere else.
Its been pretty obvious since week1 they are trying to pigeon hole him into what THE BEARS want to do…
. Just look at all the terrible back-ups playing… Fields is head and shoulders above most of them… Plus a likely NFL expansion going to happen in the next 5 years or so…
He’s not elite… But he can play at an elite level. Which is way better than most QBs.
