I saw this challenge and immediately thought there must be some weird meaning or trick to it, since the default chamber for non-incarnon mode has 6 shots.

“Primary fire” does specifically refer to the non-incarnon fire modeNot necessarily true? See comments.- Multishot counts toward the challenge. This makes it almost trivial.
- Ammo mods can get you up to 10 shots per reload
- Things which restore ammo but aren’t technically a reload do not reset the challenge (Protea’s rewind, Garuda’s augment, Lock & Load mod, etc)
- Mag’s bubble can throw the projectiles around enough to get you more chances at headshots
- Reloading any other equipped secondary weapon will reset the challenge :(
Has anyone used anything else to complete the challenge?
From what I remember, the angel won’t move if you silence the weapon and use an invisible frame like Loki or Ivara, so you can just shoot its unmoving head until you complete the challenge.
Loki is really, really good at killing void angels. They simply have no way to deal with invisibility aside from AoE stuff, and Loki can bullet jump out of it right quick. That’s why he’s better than Ivara at it.
I’ve killed most of my void angels with the Ratka Cernos!
Angels do almost nothing when affected by Banshee’s silence. They just walk towards you and AA so yeah, makes it easy. The silence is a Helminth ability which is also quite nice.
Each “Pellet” is it’s own hit, you can finish this with an unmodded Felarx, just hit the angel’s head. The Felarx comes by default with 4 multishot and a magazine size of 6. So, Felarx has 24 potential headshots by default. Just maximize shots with Multishot and more ammo. I did mine with no extra magazine size, just more multishot. If you use Hell’s chamber it brings it to 8+ shots fired, meaning it goes from 24 potential headshots to over 48. Add more magazine size with Ammo Stock and/or Burdened Magazine and you can jump it upto over 100 pontential headshots. It’s an easy enough Evolution, it just sounds confusing.
Also, you don’t have to finish the mission for the evolution to count, you can join a mission “BLAM BLAM BLAM!” an Angel in the face and then just abort mission.
It’s an easy enough Evolution, it just sounds confusing
That’s the summary I should have put at the end, haha.
I’m pretty sure I used the incarnon mode for it just fine
Why complicate it that much, just come up to an angel close up, shoot a few times and you are done, no special tactic needed
I thought they wanted you to land 20 headshots with its incarnon mode, and I did exactly that
