What weapon types are good for them? I already know gunblades do insane damage, but they feel more like shotguns than melee; and I’ve already modded a Machete Wraith that supprisingly still kills even steel path grineer, but it lacks the crowd clear aoe I wanted. Any ideas?

Daggers have a forced Slash proc on their heavy attack. I have a heavy attack focused builds for Rakta Dark Dagger and Innodem and they’re pretty good.

Corufell, some of the incarnon weapons, Cerata is godlike with it due to forced toxin proc on corpus enemies. I think there are a few 2 handed sword/nikana slash builds, but they have been fairly out paced.

Everything else is 12x combo E spam from what i can tell, tho some people will do that on corufell with 90% (voruna or mod combo)efficiency, get up to 12x then unload a few times.

tenet livia for toxin, and destreza prime with riven for max slash damage, if no riven, reaper prime

with destreza, disable melee toward camera in settings, then you can use the movement keys to hit multiple enemies during a heavy attack.

I use a zaw dagger and at least one mod from the the amar set. I never feel trapped in a heavy attack animation with the dagger and it does good damage.

I was trying to use the rapier because I had a riven for it, but it didn’t feel as good as nikanas. Tried heavy attack and was pleasantly surprised. It lunges forward, so it might be more mobile than other melee weapons.

try disabling melee aims toward camera in settings, that will change your melee direction from your camera to your movement keys. this allows you to angle your melee attacks by attempting to move, very useful for rapier heavy attacks.

Any glaive is great for heavy attack… except the Kestrel. I’ve tried so hard to make Kestrel good because it FEELS so good to use due to it having higher base flight speed than any other glaive. But even with a lot of forma and an insane riven, it doesn’t keep up.
