Police say they received a report about a Ponsonby store two days before Christmas, after Golriz Ghahraman stood aside from her portfolios over shoplifting accusations.

I feel so sorry for James Shaw.

Does anyone know what the procedure is here if Golriz needs to step down permanently? Does she stay a member until the next election, does the next person on the list step up?

    I think as a list MP, if she resigns then someone else from the list replaces her. Pretty shitty behaviour but obviously there is a complete lack of information on what actually happened.

      Having spoken to someone with good knowledge of the system, that’s my understanding as well.
