This dude got so much (unwarranted) hate early in the season, especially after his extension, but he’s done nothing but impress in his fourth year as a safety valve, blocker, and redzone threat.

Definitely one of Poles’ best moves as a GM so far, despite the earlier general consensus that we overspent on him among the fanbase. He could soon make a case for being a top 5 TE in the NFL, and he doesn’t get nearly enough recognition.

    The only thing I’ll disagree with on this post is that the hate (or criticism) from early season was/is unwarranted.

    He has weaknesses to his game just like any other player and it’s okay to call him out on it without being a hater.

    On tape Kmet showed poor blocking and was easier to tackle than he is now. Last season he struggled as a Redzone target.

    He has improved a lot in those areas and definitely looks like he will continue to get better.
