Usually the center button of the remote acts as play / pause, but sometimes it gets weird and FFWDs a few seconds with every press. Then I have to use the actual play/pause button which is not intuitively placed.

I can deal with that but I don’t know why it does it. The bigger problem is, when it gets like this, the center of the circle no longer acts as an enter button either. So if I want to turn on CC, for instance, I can’t because there’s no way to select it. The center button just keeps FFWDing instead of entering.

I’ve fixed this before by resetting my whole 4K ATV but that sucks. What is going on?

Not intuitively placed? The play / pause button sits directly under your thumb when holding the remote center balanced. You have to reach your thumb up to use the dial pads center button. Hold the remote properly and use the designated play / pause button, it’s literally what it’s there for.

It’s in the middle of three buttons that all feel the same so it’s not immediately apparent which is which without probing down to find out where the bottom button is so you can feel which is in the middle.

But this is off the subject of why my remote is behaving this way. Even if I use the play/pause button I still don’t have a way to ‘enter’ a selection
