I don’t even bother to turn a game on until after kickoff, sometimes I miss the opening drive. 100% worth it to not have to listen to any pregame commentary.

It’s ruined a lot of things.

I think the internet ruined pre-game broadcasts

Before the internet, the only way you could get information on the upcoming matchup was by watching the pre-game show

Kinda funny seeing everyone complain about the gambling talk when the last 15 years were exactly the same but it was just about fantasy football predictions instead.

NHL too, it’s awful. They fucking have commercials in-game showing the “live odds”.

It was ever good? It’s just background noise as you get ready for the game.

Online betting will soon (if not already) ruin the NFL as we’ve known it. There is a reason gambling in other sports is the equivalent of a death sentence.

No way billions of dollars getting pumped into a system, any system, and said system remaining neutral and transparent.

I think ESPN is the worst offender. Before sports betting was legalized they leaned stupid hard into fantasy football which got annoying.

Football Night in America isn’t too bad, but SNF has been far and away the best primetime broadcast in the NFL for years.
