It’s getting late in the season now and we’re starting to see what this team is and what it isn’t.

Eberflus: I feel like this one’s has been answered. There has obviously been concerns around Eberflus the whole season, but after today I’m really not sure how you bring him back next year.

O-Line: This is probably the best I’ve felt about the line in a while. Outside of Center, I’ve been really happy with how the group has performed and i’m excited to see them moving forward.

Eddie Jackson: It’s sad to see, but I think it’s time to move on. He’s a great veteran presence but he has 100% lost a few steps.

What other questions do you think have been answered so far this year?

This coaching staff is full of frauds and men incapable of leadership.

This team lacks discipline and identity. It shows up all 3 phases of the game, especially offense. Players don’t know where to line up, constant boneheaded penalties, guys running into each other, etc.

This team is extremely “behind the times” on both sides. Little-to-no misdirection, creativity, or innovation on either side. Our coaches call games like it’s the preseason, every single week, and it makes you wonder what they actually do DURING the week to prepare.

An extension of the previous point — our coaching staff is out of their depth. They’re still falling victim to classic traps that are hallmarks of bad coaching: playing not to lose/being overly conservative, focusing more on Xs and Os over putting guys in the best position to succeed, failing to adapt, etc. They seem out of touch with the players as a whole.

This team needs a leader, BADLY. The McCaskey’s need to swallow their pride and go after Harbaugh, but honestly I wouldn’t mind a candidate out of left field: Dave Toub. Make Toub an offer he can’t resist, he’s past due to get a shot as a HC.
