So Ken Dorsey loses his job why can’t Luke Getsy? I think Flus needs to self scout Getsy’s scheme and see that it’s really not tailored to JF. I know it’s been said before but what will it take? Flus did pretty alright getting the defense ramped up and gelling. Why don’t reporters press Flus during media interviews about his OC and the schemes?

At this point, firing getsy would do more harm than good in evaluating fields. He’s not learning a new system and playbook in one week in between games, so any replacement OC is going to keep the same system in place. You’re just adding another variable into the equation of evaluating your QB.

After the season they can evaluate the job Getsy did and see what they want to do. At this point, you’ve got to ride with what you have because you can’t re-do an entire system in one week and expect it to run successfully.

That’s what the Bills are doing because they have Joe Brady as a QB coach that has previous experience as OC in the league. The Bears don’t really have anyone on the offensive side with any play calling experience at any level.

When an OC change happens. It’s just what’s dialed up, not a whole new system… there are designed runs that haven’t been called yet, haven’t seen any read option this year tbh.
