Virtually every QB in the NFL is deviating from their career norms this season. Studs like Allen, Mahomes, Burrow (playing better recently) Lawrence, Hurts, Watson, etc all seem to be turning the ball over more. What do you think is causing this? Just more Defensive adjustments?
lack of 2 a days. All of the big name QBs of the last generation were able to get 2 a days in during a longer preseason. Now that all save Rodgers are retired we’re seeing the true affect of the lack of extra practice by the QBs. This poorer level of play will continue until either the NFL gives up the extra game for more preseason or allows 2 a days back.
Banned by the NCAA too. The product of reducing contact injuries. I wonder if they can still have no contact practice and then contact practice.
The leagues all run on ratings. As long as people watch the league will adjust.
