I haven’t been subbed here for a while, but it seems that the majority agrees that you should have at least one of these turned on, that is either framerate or dynamic range. Although, what if your average consumer just leaves these options off and never bothers to go in the menu to turn em on, would the average viewer be satisfied?

Most people have budget 4K TVs which means they don’t really care to much about visual quality so settings like these won’t matter.

If you can’t tell the difference due to the TV, it doesn’t matter. If you can tell the difference, set it to what you prefer.

    Personally, I have:

    4K SDR (60Hz) — not the 59.94Hz version

    Match frame rate in

    Match dynamic range on

I have mine set to 4K SDR and turn on Match Frame Rate as well but leave Match Dynamic Range turned off. Most streaming services are horrible at DV and HDR coding…and consumer level tvs just can’t do them correctly.

Oh I see a difference when DV or HDR is turned on. It’s almost always not good except for the dedicated HDR or DV promo videos. Those look amazing.
