Not an athlete or anything, will just be for normal use
Series 7, just for the fast charging alone. The AOD and keyboard are nice touches. But, try to find some stashed away new on clearance. Then you’ll have a proper Apple warranty and options for AppleCare (just get it for a few dollars a month, it can save you hundreds if you bust it, or even a failure under warranty past the standard 1 year).
If you do want refurbished, spend the bit extra and get an Apple refurbished. It will be in like new condition, brand new battery, and Apple warranty for 90 days and AppleCare eligibility.
If you can’t find a good buy on a 7 (you might even score an S8 at an excellent price with the Black Friday sales) and your budget is really constrained, a new SE 2 is a perfectly reasonable selection. But you have options for a significant step up at about the same price as a new SE by going with an S7/8 with sales going on as they are in the US.
In stainless Steel (I react to aluminium)
I have both, SE totally fine if you don’t need the additional heart monitoring features.
I own SE 2. I was planning to buy series 7 but it was sold out everywhere. The one think that I don’t like is there is no AoD.
I would get an Apple Watch Series 9 if I could afford it
Ultra
I have the SE2 as it was a whole-family-joint Christmas Present but I wish I had the O2 Monitoring, ECG and Always-On-Display but I felt too bad about asking for the Receipt to exchange it…
I have an SE2 and I don’t need any of those. I guess that narrows the OP decision: either you use those or not could save you some bucks.
I’m still grateful for my SE2 either way though. It’s still a great device. The Battery Life is about 22 hours with Light Use and Sleep Tracking
For me will be series 7. Always on display and fast charging rule me out of getting an SE.
Series 7 easily.
Well, i got SE 2 a month ago. Upgraded(jumped) from s2. I am very happy with it. Extra features would be bice but not really needed for my daily walks and movement tracking.
