The arrest took place just moments after she had provided evidence intended to hold her alleged attacker accountable.
According to the advocate who accompanied her, the federal agents were not wearing uniforms. They forced the ‘screaming’ woman into an unmarked vehicle before driving away. When the advocate attempted to seek help, police officers reportedly told her: ‘We can’t do a thing. They’re ICE.’
I see a glimmer of hope in the fact that, since the second term spun up, the moderate position on ICE has shifted to being predominantly terms-of-service violations.
You know the moment anything changes for the better, people are going to immediately forget all the horrible shit they did.
Prosecute the entire chain of command
I have been informed that ibtimes.co.uk is not a trustworthy news outlet and that this is a much better source: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/2026/04/ice-deportation-domestic-violence-victims/686629/
you can edit your post…
Things get weird when you crosspost, I edited the text of the original post.
But you own both threads, you should be able to edit this one with both new appropriate headlines and sources.
You are right but again, things get weird and start to break if you edit an original that was crossposted and I’d rather not break the post but just include both links.
At the least edit the title here, and body if you’re afraid of URL crosspost breakage.
I’ve seen the Title break too with the crosspost never updating the linked original with the new title after the original is renamed.
Like I said, weird things happen.
