It’s probably unfair to fire Poles after two years, but I think it’s absolutely needed for the fact that we could have complete organizational synergy.
Warren hires the GM, who hires his coach, and then drafts his QB. I truly believe we’ve gone through so many rebuilds because we’re constantly doing things backwards. Let there be one vision and go through with it.
The tear down is complete so we’d probably be the hottest destination for any coach or GM.
Poles is the one person I’m 100% ok brining back.
Bro shut up
I see no lie, OP.
This guy is living off trading back from #1.
If you pay attention you realize that the majority of WRs drafted outside of the first round hardly ever do anything. Yeah the pick didn’t work out but this sub acts like this move was as bad as the Trubisky trade up.
That’s not even remotely true. From just this past draft class alone I can think of the following off the top of my head:
- Puca
- Tank Dell
- Josh Downs
- Rashee Rice
Edit: forgot to include Mims as well
How fucking dare a rookie GM miss on his very first 3rd round pick. Absolutely unacceptable no GM ever misses in their first draft, especially not in the third round
This is such a lame take. Poles isn’t some homeless man off the street who’s never watched a game of football. He’s supposed to be an expert building a team at the highest level of professional sports.
Poles’s only success as a GM has been Lovie Smith gifting him the #1 overall pick. Everything outside of that has been between mid and awful.
How were the Bears going to tank if they had talented players though?
Another dumb take by another dumb Bears fan.
No he wasn’t. He was supposed to be a special teams guy, not a primary receiver. We never had him penciled in as WR across from Mooney. Dude is a bust, but this narrative is false.
You don’t use a third round pick on a 24 year old guy you think is going to be a special teamer. Lets be real. They thought he could be a fast twitchy guy you could get in space and make plays with. Special teams and on offense.
