Avatar (2009) 4/5 - I’ve changed my opinion on this quite a bit as I’ve moved away from the release. Sure the plot is simple, but honestly with all the crazy shit going on around it, it’s fine. The technology innovations you can see on screen are just stunning even 15 years later
If I had Legs I’d Kick You 3/5 - Parent anxiety simulator! I don’t have kids and couldn’t quite connect with it. I’d be interested to hear how other people interpreted the “rodents are resilient creatures” line
Weapons 4.5/5 - On a rewatch it becomes apparent just how effective of a predator the antagonist is. They utilize everyone’s preconceptions about them and social stigma to get just enough time to gain the upper hand. Great movie
Shanghai Noon 2.5/5 - What if Beverly Hills Cop, but cowboy? It’s got a lot of Asian stereotypes that don’t age well but some jokes are funny
The Secret Agent 3/5 - There were a lot of moving parts and the movie was not entirely clear about the timeline, especially the jarring future stuff. I found it a little hard to follow with not enough payoff for the effort
Weapons was great. I knew the cast in advance, but nothing about the guys who made it. It was incredible how engrossing the movie is.
I watched Toxic Avenger (2025) a few hours ago and it was fucking AWESOME! First time I have seen a reboot that was better than the original.
Really want more fun, campy, funny shit like that. Unfortunately I don’t think they reached their $1 Billion box office domestic goal to release the sequel 😞
The fun one was Whistle.
Tropes galore and I think we’ve seen that solution before but goshdarnit they had a couple of the most fun kills I’ve seen in awhile. Yeah, some terrible dialogue but also some great moments. I’d say it all balances out to fun one for a genre fan.
War Machine. Decent popcorn flick. Could have been better.

V For Vendetta. Man I love this movie.
