Sorry to be that guy but shouldn’t it be union girl?

Or is the author implying a woman only union?

Would there be a men union? Can we call it menunion?

Edit: seems like only one person understood why this language is divisive.

I appreciate you being that guy. Differentiating by gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, or anything else is just a distraction. A Union is much stronger than a men’s women + women’s union + non-binary Union + whatever else anyone wants to add.

Plus that avoids having to deal with TERFs.

I’ve taken to interpreting “girl+noun” to be a state of being, and a adjective itself; used by girls, women, or feminine identifying individuals.

Another example with be “girl dinner” which is a when a feminine identifying individual is eating a dinner they find to be silly or funny in some way.

The author is implying a message to empower women to unionize. Not including men in a message does not mean men can’t or shouldn’t unionize.
