    • Brush: Chisel & Hound Brownstone 26mm V29 Fanchurian
    • Razor: Atelier Durdan Horizon (setting: 3)
    • Blade: Feather Artist Club Professional (1)
    • Lather: Floris London - No. 89 - Soap
    • Toner: Thayers - Cucumber - Toner
    • Aftershave: Floris London - No. 89 - Aftershave
    • Fragrance: Floris of London - No. 89 - Eau de Toilette

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.

This was my first use of the Horizon passaround razor. Settings go from 1 to 9 so I started at 3 to see what’s what. Not mild at all! Can’t wait to see what 7 is like. The razor is heavy and the head is large to accommodate the adjustment mechanism. The ability to tailor your exact blade exposure for an AC razor is very interesting, and the design is clever.

    • Brush: AP Shave Co. - Synbad 24mm Synthetic
    • Razor: Blackland Era - Level 3
    • Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (1)
    • Lather: Taconic Shave - Urban Woods - Cream
    • Post Shave: MW - Bay Rum - Aftershave
    • Post Shave: Declaration Grooming, House of Mammoth - Cerberus - Liniment

Excellent shave. The ERA is one of my favorite DE’s, specifically with the 3 plate. Mild with high efficiency.

This is my first time trying Taconic Shave. I didn’t expect the “cream” to be liquidy! It’s a neat product and I enjoyed using it. This scent reminded me of Guy Noir from Chiseled Face. The scents are different, but in the same ballpark.

LatherBot continues luring us into complacency. I’ve got a feeling the PRNG behind LatherBot has the heart of GRRM and there will be a blood bath in the last couple of days of Atlas.

Noble Man is a homage to Creed’s Millesime Imperial. I enjoyed the scent and found 4711 goes with it nicely.

Quartidi 4 Ventôse an 234 de la Révolution, jour de Troène

This was another try with the Starry Night brush. While the handle is one of the best I have (ergonomically), I am less enthused by the knot – which is a tad bit hard and gave me brush-burn. I gave it a good cleaning with dish cleaner, and it seems to have become slightly softer.

I’m alone at home, so I’m using the non-wife approved scents. Which means: mainly the Stag. Now, the tallow base I have is pretty shit. I’ve complained about it before, and I’m still not a fan. The aftershave though is very good.

    Have a good day!

    • Brush: Stirling - “The Replicant” 24mm Synthetic
    • Razor: Joseph Rogers & Sons Near Wedge (9)
    • Lather: Woolly Wash Soapery - Tropi-cool - Soap
    • Post Shave: Proraso - Green - Aftershave
    • Post Shave: Oleo & Co. - Facial Toner - Toner
    • Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company - Seaforth! Sea Spice Lime - EdT

A mostly comfortable shave with this wedge, just a couple weepers where I went too close ATG.

Great combination of scents for a sunny Sunday, and the lather was fantastic as always with WW. I love that sheep tallow base.

    • Prep: Shower
    • Brush: West Coast Shaving Synthetic
    • Razor: RazoRock Game Changer .84 closed comb
    • Blade: Gillette PermaSharp (1)
    • Lather: Proraso White Shaving Cream
    • Alum: Stirling Travel Size Alum
    • Toner: Stirling Unscented Witch Hazel & Aloe
    • Aftershave: Stirling Duke Aftershave
    • Serum: Ash Hopper Blueberry Serum
    • Lotion: Humble Bee Botanicals “Calendulove” Face Cream
    • Fragrance: Stirling Duke EdT

1 pass WTG. A socially acceptable shave but not as close as I would really like, especially lower down on my neck.

Proraso White is a very pleasant scent but the jury is out on whether it works for my face. Certainly on my first use it felt less protective than most of my other shaving soaps, but then again I have not had great luck with Gillette PermaSharp blades yet.
