The Band is a Canadian-American classic rock band that formed in 1968, but the members had a history of playing together as early as the 1950s. With the Canadian members being from Toronto and the American vocalist being from Woodstock, New York, the group made a truly timeless and iconic version of rock that has strong roots in classic rock, Americana, folk, R&B, jazz, and country. The Band played together with members coming and going from 1968 to as far as 1999, but their prime was in the 70s and 80s.

To this day, The Band is immensely popular and has influenced music in Canada, America, and globally. They still get nearly 3 million monthly listens on Spotify, with the majority of listeners coming from New York City, Chicago, and Toronto.
