I got a win today. I found out that there was illegal reselling of one of our vendors products online at multiple legitimate retailers.

Emailed director. Director rang vendor slt. Vendor product manager is going to contact the major retailers to take down the ads asap.

    Simon gets a fucking victory.

I spent all afternoon and evening weeping lol, I think I have more tears to weep. Soon enough I’ll get back on the job hunting wagon and send out apps, but for now I shall wallow and distract myself with games.

Thank you for your kind words and support, I really appreciate every single one of you 💜💜💜

Yes, I leave Melbcat with a wrapped hot water bottle on cold days and would either have cooling run well before (or left on low if I’ll be out for long) on a hot day.

I’d worry about overheating at her age and you want your pet to be comfortable.

May the cattery call me with good news this afternoon 🙏💜

I really need a little win

Edit: also playing Whamageddon this year. Added Mariah as well, so we have to avoid the original versions of Last Christmas and All I Want For Christmas, respectively.

My little dog has been the bestest dog this past week. Considering he gets excited and starts jumping on us if he hasn’t seen us in 5 minutes he’s been remarkably calm and delicate with the man.

YL came home from holidays last night and he was happy to see her. I had to tell her to keep the excitables down. It’s like he’s gone into senior mode (the dog that is).

Another solo trivia night and at a brand new venue. The big crowds must be because of the tine of year. Once I got everything set up it went smoothly

Love hearing about this!! I love seeing the different people at trivia from the fanatics to the people just using it as an excuse to drink. A quiz host once told me about doing a corporate event for a lawyer firm and it was one of the most soul draining experiences of her life

It’s interesting seeing the difference in teams as well. The team that usually wins at my regular spot is a about 8 people from one family so they have a whole range of general knowledge to draw from

I used to go with my mum to Peter Mac many moons ago and we’d use Parliament station and she hated the escalators so much that I’d have to talk to her the whole time while on them. Going down was the worst. I could here her mumbling “fuck, fuck, fuck”.

Anyway I asked her one time why we didn’t use the lifts. Her answer was “I tried them once. They’re slow and smelt horrendously like piss. I was slowly suffocating. Never again”.

To this day whenever I get in a lift I think about who the fuck has pissed in the corner?

The loos at Parliament station are so hard to access that I can quite see how someone in a hurry would go to the lift at the end of the platform rather than hike up the escalators, fish out their myki, walk a large circle around the barriers, go to the loo, walk back around, fish out myki again and then back down those awful escalators again. The Parliament escalators are famous for bothering people with sensory or balance issues - instant vertigo. The designers got them so wrong that they are now world famous for bad design. I hate those escalators with a passion. I usually end up sitting down on a step and only stand up for the last little bit. God help anyone navigating them with shopping bags and/or small children in tow. They should have put proper loos on each platform, or at least on each level. And good luck FINDING the loos at Melbourne Central.

I suppose there must be some, but until this moment I never thought about the possibility that Parliament station even had loos.

There was a carpark near the Aquarium so many levels high. I wondered why there was so many cars on the ground level until I got in the lift to come down. The smell in the lift was nostril hair burning. I told the kid “don’t touch the walls and certainly don’t read anything”.

so hot down the beach, hot and glary,

I think if I go to the beach this summer I will go early in the morning, after brekkie, that way I won’t get cooked or skin cancer

I did find some nice shells
