It’s sad that it has to be pointed out again, and again, AND AGAIN, the difference between the choices and actions of the leaders of a regime in a specific country and the entirety of a very large group of people spread over the world who share a specific religion.
I mean, the belief that “some of these people are like this hence all these people are like this” is the core building block of racism (and all the other “-isms”) so Thinking People shouldn’t need to, in this specific case, to be reminded of the difference between a country that claims itself to represent a religion (which is quite the Putinneske lie) and “every single person that believes in a specific religion”, but sadly there are way too many unthinking parrots around.
