Is there a way to prevent my t2i generator page from being forked without permission (aside from making it private)? I’ve noticed that some of the other popular gens have a mechanism that disable forks. Thanks in advance for any suggestions 😁

    yeah spoons are way better than forks!

    there is no official perchance plugin to prevent forking because perchance encourages sharing and duplicating.

    Those that make their own way, i believe, basically add a little code to check what the url of the page is and, if it isn’t the specified url it wrecks the loading of the generator. They often try to hide the code via labeling it deceptively so people cant just find it easily and remove it. I personally don’t prevent forking on mine. really if someone forked mine and actually pursued it as much as i do myself i would be impressed. My suggestion is ask on generators that prevent forking and, since you aren’t trying to duplicate their gen, i’d think they would help you set it up for yours.

      Thanks! I understand the sharing and duplicating if they plan on actually changing things. Most of the duplicates I’ve seen are exactly the same and just a way to have their own copy. If they left it private I wouldn’t care, but they leave my banner and all of the meta info the same so it shows up on searches like it’s the original. I’m pretty sure some people I’ve banned for inappropriate content have done this as well. I have a notice asking people to ask permission before copying so I can share those concerns, but so far not a single.person has asked. Guess I may be expecting too much lol.
