The President nominates a judge and the Senate votes to approve that person for the post. FTtP voting is bad. It’s just awful. The more you understand it the clearer that becomes. Healthcare… no cap, we don’t understand it, either. It’s a mess.

It sticks around because changing it requires changing the Constitution, and a majority of states benefit from the status quo.
