I think generally disinformation and right wing extremism; once you fall down the rabbit hole of mistrusting the government and start consuming antivax content, it’s not a huge leap to “becoming woke” to what the government does in their skewed beliefs. I should ask them how they find those groups.
. It’s very strange it’s spread so much to black people because it has its roots in white supremacy but that’s a large part of their population. I had never heard of the Moorish Science Temple where they get this from before becoming interested in sovcits.

It’s usually folks with suspended licenses who google workarounds it seems.
