    Risc-V should kill all of this bullshit. Open source CPUs are what the world needs, not more closed source legal battles

          Open source: here’s the code, it’s on GitHub/codeberg/etc

          Open standard: this is the api/standard/hardware interface you must conform to; how you do it is up to you.

      Honestly, I was shocked apple silicon didn’t go to risc V.

      But then I realized, the apple silicon has been baked in the iPhones for a very long time, so they’re running on inertia at this point
