Also, there need to be like 3 or 4 Palestinian flags on the GOP side because Trump would allow Netanyahu to brutalize Gaza pretty much without limit.

Unlike Biden, who is currently wagging his finger very hard at Netanyahu.

Yeah Biden is at least withholding certain weapons, pushing for aid, and pressuring for a ceasefire.

What weapons, and does that even matter? Pretty sure Israel is killing civilians no problem right now without whatever Wunderwaffen you’re talking about.

What if u just reject the premise entirely

Maybe the trolley thing doesnt make sense and seeing things in that way is why things are that way

In this case at least it is completely absurd to frame it as a trolley problem. It presumes the murder of people is an inevitable event and not the result of the continued apathy of western citizens

The trolley problem makes sense in the context it was developed for, which is to be an ethical thought experiment. It’s got nothing to do with politics unless you’re just a lazy thinker (which Biden fans pretty much are.)

“America shits and Mexico wipes” has been our policy towards Mexico for over a century and Mexico fucking knows it. Good job reinforcing that relation, Brandon.

ok so let’s just say this is what’s going on. and just ignore the fact that the entirety of the double bind is literally just a form of blackmail by the DNC. If these are our only two options, and we have to pick one, these people are just fine with it? You’re talking about committing genocide regardless of the elected official. If you aren’t severely tempted to say things that would get you put on a list in that situation, then there’s something severely wrong with you.

There’s something deeply suspicious about the kind of person who pulls the lever without hesitating in the original trolley problem. Yeah, it’s the better choice to pull the lever, but people have a natural first aversion to it for a reason. We’re trying to find a way to avoid hurting anyone when we hesitate. And in almost any real life situation minus a fast paced military tactical decision, that’s actually helpful. Taking the first option you see that’s better than the previous option you see no matter what is not good decision making. There’s usually at least three options and you have to analyze them all, not just the first two you observe.

These people should get some kind of medal for their logic gymnastics

      1. Be lib, your life is consumerism
      2. Encounter people doing something to respond to a genocide
      3. ???trump?troley???bzz???election?lever??kill?one?guy???bzzzzt???responsibility??
      4. Why of course my fellow redditor, the people doing anything about this are immoral since they’re not getting their hands dirty in the voting booth, indeed

they don’t understand that not voting is a political strategy to force democrats to actually do good things. When you think not voting is a moral failure you’re misunderstanding the fundamental philosophy of democracy (withholding your vote to ensure candidates do good things is literally the core of how democracy is supposed to work)

so how exactly do these people justify being liberals rather than revolutionary communists then. because it sounds like they’ve come to the conclusion that negative peace is a thing but are just pretending it doesn’t apply to them

Not pictured: the fact that there are actually 95 and 100 people on the tracks and that the Democrats helped sabotage any other tracks at every juncture.

They could get 90% of us to vote for Biden if it was Biden voters who were leading every protest and actively pressuring him, and not apologizing for things like his anti immigration stance.

Show me some assurance that you do actually intend to work with us after the election, and you won’t just go back to brunch to complain about all these dumb terrorist-supporting antisemitic kids. If Biden lost because of us that would mean the Dems would have to pay attention to our votes if they want to win going forward.

After r/neoliberal’s incredible obliteration of leftists, Hexbear has two options now:

      1. Delete the entire site.
      1. Convert the site over to being a neoliberal haven that denounces all communist thought.

Which one are we doing, comrades buddies?
