    But what if people don’t want to see their country jump 100+ years backwards with regards to citizen rights and equality? As of August of last year, “Abortion has been on the ballot in seven states since that landmark court decision one year ago and in each instance, in red states and blue states, anti-abortion advocates have lost.” Also, same-sex marriage has federal legal protection.

      It tracks. I mean, it’s in the name. I thought that conservatives in general have fundamental disagreement with the concept of improving our lives.

      It really seems like it anymore.

      The Vermont constitutional amendment protecting reproductive autonomy was the pipeline long before Roe was overturned. Amending the state constitution is a long process that intentionally takes years, to avoid hasty decisions. The timing was great, though, for getting a large & supportive turnout.
