I have these wire shelves that are held together with these plastic caps. I’m reconfiguring the layout and ran out of caps. It’s been a decade+/- since we got these, and I can’t remember the name. Does anyone know where I can get more of these caps? Or, at least, what these caps and/or shelves are called, so I can go hunting for them?
Wow this brings back memories, my family had a bunch of these years ago I don’t know what they’re called but you could try 3d printing those caps
Definitely a good idea! But they’re under enough pressure that 3d printed parts wouldn’t hold up.
I’m pretty positive they would with standard PLA, but at the very least you could print them with a stronger material that absolutely would hold up.
I think you’re underestimating how strong 3D prints actually can be!
I didn’t think I was, but now, I’m not so sure. I’ll see if I can commission one and test it’s strength. Any suggestions on material to use?
