Hi, I don’t think it’s crazy to think the CCP owns (or rather controls) it, but I don’t think it even matters. They’ve clearly chosen to operate a certain way.

Big tech companies (fuck you Reddit) and governments will shout about the CCP and how nobody can trust that their privacy is respected on Chinese platforms (not disputing this), or how they censor dissenting speech, but then you see how those same invasive measures are implemented in a more subtle way on non-Chinese platforms.

I have an easier time imagining that it’s just lessons learned from the CCP and others regardless of the organization’s (fuck you Reddit) nationality. It’s a matter of money, or power, or both, because they (fuck you Reddit) have no values and will bend the knee to authoritarians so that they can operate in those countries and feed off of their people too.

I’m of the opinion he will be more of the same while being quieter about things than Trudeau was, but people sort of want some financial literacy within government and Trudeau’s Liberals were not that. Carney certainly wouldn’t be my first choice but looking at the other options it’s not rocket science to see why he was chosen.

This wasn’t some wild uprising, though. Canadians vote politicians out, that’s nothing new.

Trudeau and his Liberal party were seen as arrogant and out of touch. I don’t know that Carney is any better in that regard given his ties to the big shitty businesses which are ruining our society, but he’s certainly more financially literate than Trudeau was and people want that right now. He’s certainly qualified for the job.

Russia can eat a dick, but Liberal governments are spending enough time eating their own faces. They need to earn back the trust of their populace if they want to beat back Russian influence because these conditions are what makes it so easy.

Trump is a symptom, not a cause. Of course his rhetoric and abrasive disregard for the law has emboldened others to be more direct in their hate, but if Trump were to die today these problems wouldn’t just magically disappear.

Better late than never, I guess, but the time for action and solidarity was before the election. Trump has never made a secret of his plans, and the world witnessed just how fractured America is with his re-election.

The first election of Trump, I believe, was a fuck you to the establishment. I would never have rallied behind the piece of shit, but I could at least understand what was happening. His re-election was a fuck you to the rest of the world, including Americans.

The world is looking at the general apathy of Americans and waiting for them to do something about it. It’s an uphill fight but Americans haven’t even gotten into the ring yet.
