My dating has been a journey. After some terrible experiences thanks to taking people at face value, I started surrounding myself with strong, feminist people and I’m slowly learning to set up boundaries and stick with them.
Fast forward to being rejected by a man after two dates because I set the boundary that I didn’t want to be touched yet (this is, no hugs or holding hands or anything like that), and he felt hurt and stated he needed a companion who trusted him from the very beginning.
Bless feminism and my friends for continuously helping me grow, and feck this guy and all those strangers who feel entitled to touching us without our permission.
