This wasn’t my case, my parents were very well adjusted for the most part but it did happen to a former partner. It was usually accompanied by a deep silence and denial. Hope it gradually gets more normalized to at least talk about it; even if therapeutic alternatives may not be available, having support from friends and family is a huge improvement.

The way I understand it is that, since most of the time it’s animals with fur or feathers, they’re not really exposing themselves in the same way as humans would in the same situation. Thus, in universe, clothes are a styling choice.

I’ll check out Noice, thank you for the recommendation! Not a big fan of rain sounds due to bad experiences, but certainly other white noise, and “ADHD” Playlists with no lyrics are really helpful for concentration sometimes.
A very basic version taught by my grandma:
Slice 1 large red onion in half moon shape
Place in a glass container and add enough lime juice to cover it. If lime is unavailable, lemon or white wine vinegar also work.
Add a pinch of salt and oregano.
