Why don’t you use your reason and independent thought and figure out the right steps? I do not have the magic formula to end capitalism, but we have more to gain from mistaken action than inaction. There’s risk in making suggestions, legal or not, that challenge the government in a revolutionary way in a public forum. You can figure it out.

I don’t know what country you’re in, so it’s quite difficult for me to tell you how to be pragmatic politically. If it’s America, first thing you can do is stop voting for Democrats. As a general principle, a working people’s party, mass actions, self-defense groups, engaged with labor. You can go study history to learn about further development and see why this is a better model than reformism.

You demand I provide a complete societal model when I’m advocating you engage in political action? Same farcical demand the status quo have levied against anarchism for 100 years. Go read Malatesta, he’s answered you better than I can.

What you’re describing is how to be resilient at a personal and community level which is well and good. It is also expensive, not accessible for many, and involves basically admitting defeat.

“Pestering” your local politicians and voting for the liberal capitalist party over the regressive capitalist party is not proving to be a sufficient formula for change. Relying on personal consumption changes like “don’t buy from Amazon” is also insufficient and essentially a capitalist myth that the onus of climate change is on the consumers.

We need revolutionary individual and mass action and to disassemble the capitalist domination systems that are baking our planet. There is no other way through where we make it out alive.

That article is interesting, but I wish it covered more than the UK and the US and a particular set of working conditions. In the US for example, slaves were forced to work from dawn until dusk, giving them 14-hour workdays in the Summer. I have no idea what workdays looked like in China, India, or outside of the period of history prior to the industrial revolution, but I would suspect the amount of exploitation varied widely even within the narrow times and places we have historical access to.

• Trump dictates this weird message to an intern and says he wants a plaque about sleepy Joe by this afternoon.
• Intern has to ask head intern about logistics of hanging a plaque in the hallway.
• “Who makes plaques like this? Where do I even get it?”
• Calling random plaque makers in the DC area asking how quickly they can make the plaque
• Getting White House corporate card and filing procurement paperwork
• Physically going to plaque maker to pick up plaque
• Make it back just in time to get stupid plaque hung up on wall
• “Wait, can I hang this myself? Can I really drill mount screws into the White House wall? Is there staff who has to help me put this up?”
• Get stupid plaque up and get ready to leave for the day
• Hear poopy diaper president throwing a hissy fit
• “This isn’t what I told you to put up! It’s missing the second part!”
• “Sorry Mr. President - I recorded your statement earlier if you want me to play it back-”
• “No!!! I want a second plaque with the rest of what I said! It needs to say [insert second plaque statement here]”
• “Yes Mr. President, right away.”
• Cancel plans for evening, frantically call plaque maker to see if they’ll stay open, repeat
