Age verification for pornography has something like a 70% approval rating. It’s not a religious extremism issue, it’s a “normies don’t want or care about their freedoms issue”.
Much easier to moderate your consumption when you’ve spent some time without.
That is so, so cool.
Maybe tell us a little bit about yourself so people might know if you’re a good fit for their campaign?
For the record, this has more to do with Argentine financial mismanagement and China’s “expansive” fiscal policy than with the dedollarization that the headline is trying to imply.
Wow, can’t believe that PCA made it into Nature lol. Then again, maybe I’m just being a dick, admittedly I haven’t read the paper.
Y’all don’t want to hear this but the appeal is going nowhere. Antitrust in the US requires consolidation to harm consumer choice, and with the agreements Microsoft has committed to that’s not provable. The EU has much stricter rules about this stuff than the US and even they cleared the acquisition. This has more to do with the administration’s tech-regulation initiative needing to show some proof-of-life than anything with a chance of actually preventing a merger. Feel free to downvote me to oblivion if it makes you feel better.
Thanks! The moment I realized “democracy” fit the scansion I knew I was doomed lol
NATO Astronaut 1: It never gets old, huh?
NATO Astronaut 2: Nope.
Astronaut 1: It kinda makes you want to…
Astronaut 2: Break into a song?
Astronaut 1: Yep.
I love the trenches,
I love the roadside mines,
I love blown bridges,
I love when turrets fly.
I love the whole world
And all its sights and sounds.
Boom-de-yah-da, boom-de-yah-da (twice)
I love my plane-fus,
I love nuke submarines,
I love logistics,
I love democracy!
I love the whole world
And all its craziness
Boom-de-yah-da, boom-de-yah-da (twice)
I love dictators
(I like to watch em hang)
I love Three Gorges
I love when things go bang!
I love the whole world
It’s such a brilliant place
Boom-de-ah-da, boom-de-ah-da (repeating until fade)
Makerbot replicator 2. Old as hell but still gets the job done for my limited purposes.
The lemmy.world admins have full control over all the instance’s data, including the accounts of everyone using the instance. They seem like nice people, but there’s no real way to enforce the conditions you’re proposing.
Getting into the habit of breaking your dreams into actionable steps and then performing those steps is the single most important skill you can learn in life. What can you do today to achieve your dream? What will you do tomorrow? One day you will stumble across something that truly captures your interest, and when you do all the practice you put in now turning your dreams into things you can do will come in handy. Dream big, but don’t stop at dreaming. Learn as much as you can about everything you might need. Your YouTube career might not make it, but any skills you pick up in video production and SEO might be helpful down the line. If your dream changes tomorrow but you learned a skill today, then it wasn’t a waste.
I’m having the same issue with my community. Things haven’t been syncing over for the past two days. Its a huge problem because the vast majority of activity is on lemmy.world or lemmy.ml, and we’re effectively defederated from both at this point.
For some ungodly reason editing a comment sometimes adds to the comment count.
Holy fucking based.
Edit: nevermind, their newest post reverses all the protest changes lest they get kicked out. Why are mods so attached to their fake internet power?
I can’t stop people from feeling annoyed, no. But if you’re the only one submitting, then, no, those people would have no right to complain. You’d be the person keeping the lemmy alive. I would tell those people to post the areas they feel strongly about as well. Now if there’s a good mix of topics being submitted, then sure, talk to the mods about setting up some guidelines about USA-posting. But right now I look at this lemmy and see 1-2 people donating a lot of their time, and some armchair quarterbacks being choosing beggars about the effort they’re getting for free.
Be the change you want to see. Things don’t just magically appear on the forum, people just like you have to post them. And if you can’t be arsed to do that, then be thankful for what others are willing to provide to you for free.
It’s a great idea, but I was looking online and regular sharps containers for home use go for about 8 bucks online. Who has access to a 3D printer and the time to process all those caps, but doesn’t have 8 dollars to spend?
If you remember those, you are now a depressed anxious wreck with a decimated attention span.
