It runs okay, but starts to rattle under load and at random times.
I tried to get the fan replaced but couldn’t find a replacement, in local stores or second hand parts market. I looked at online retailers but they wouldn’t ship to my country. lol

Interesting bit:
Samsung fans are already protesting in the comments and some are certain that the photos were manipulated. Ice Universe is actually one of the more controversial tech observers, having also made several critical comments about Samsung in the past, but we don’t want to accuse him of deliberate manipulation. Incidentally, the Vivo X300 series will officially launch in Europe in just a few days, as has now been confirmed.

Partially, I think. There is an joint venture on creating an independent European search infrastructure. I have heard Qwant using it for the French market but not sure about other regions.

This happens to me on images from feddit.org. maybe geoblocking? Their website feddit.org doesn’t ever load for me.

Do people really want Android’s horrible memory management in a laptop package?

I think there’s a misunderstanding. She said “the government”, not just her interim government.
“The government, moving forward, should keep corruption in check as one of their main goal.”
Again, those were the demands by the protestors for the government, not just this government.
They obviously can’t end it, but the gist is to minimize it by strengthening laws and enforcing them.
That’s my interpretation of it. You’re free to keep your own.

Where does it exactly say “we’re going to solve corruption in 6 months”?
It’s called “interim” for a reason. The protest were against corruption. Nobody is expecting anyone to solve it in 6 months or a year or whatever timeframe. It’s a path forward, not a deadline.

In this type of situation marginal improvements are usually enough to placate the populace.
As I see it, it’s too early to tell. It could go both ways. I’m hoping the resolution doesn’t just end up with small changes to placate the populace. We’ll see.

It indeed isn’t easy, but the protests and riots exhibited that people aren’t just going to sit idly by and take corruption lightly anymore. People and especially youths are getting more involved, not just venting and lashing out in social media.
There’s a long road ahead and there are a lot of external influence to look out for, as a small country. But the situation is looking hopeful.
I hope it stays that way and improves.

Crazy. I watched it a day before yesterday and dont remember hearing any music at all. I wonder how they managed to claim a copyright strike on it.

Anyone seeing this from Nepal, please leave reddit. It’s being brigaded by reactionaries and fake news to create chaos.

This is also why I love android, not the google part but the open system it has. I have an old tablet that’s on Android 4.4 and I can still watch YouTube (skytube), download torrents, watch movies (VLC FTW) and use a browser (Bromite, if I really really need too). MiXplorer can run a ftp or http server for file transfer, so most basics are covered.
Thanks to f-droid and a few tweaks1, its not e-waste yet. It’s slow but is usable.
I just use it as a media device when I’m out traveling. Honestly, I’m surprised it hasn’t just fried itself yet.

Yeah and the free app of the week or was it a day? There were quite a few gems and I used the hell out of them. I hoarded games too hoping I’d play after my studies were over but never got to it.

I’m from Nepal and while the trend is positive, there’s not enough infrastructure or long term planning to make it dependable for anyone outside of the metropolitan areas.
There are no recycling plants, no guarantees some of these companies won’t disappear. Workforce to tackle problems arising for depending on software on these vehicles are also lacking. Most of the geography is hills and mountains, battery technology that heat up degrade faster and are not ideal for the region.
The corruption in this country runs wild. It sucks being cramped between two big countries that can just buy off your politicians for cheap and sway policies to benefit them.
Going all in may provide short term relief but I’m afraid we’re just going to be a product dumping ground for these two nations without a shred of thought put into being self dependent.

And the world’s smallest otter return to Nepal.

Ion launcher is simple and light. The only thing missing (for me) is you can’t lock the desktop so I sometimes mistakenly move things around.
I saw this feature on the list. Does it warn you when you go higher or lower than the target zone? I use Opentracks and I don’t think it has this feature.
