This concern is entirely justified. The yacht funds of the wealthy serve as a “ballast stone” for social stability—Coping with the pandemic? Yachts function as mobile isolation pods, safer than hospitals (with ocean views to boot!). Protecting the environment? New-energy yachts (the pricier, the greener) are the ultimate statement of eco-consciousness; universal healthcare? Private medical pods aboard yachts are 100 times more reliable than public insurance (after all, if money can solve it, it’s not a problem).
