Maybe I’ve been living in a cave or just too old but can someone tell me what BPD is?

I clicked your link and it loaded fine for me. However, there was a blocked box for a few seconds but it went away and the page looks and functions normally now. Running firefox with ublock.
This seems more like an example of procrastination not technical debt. Technical debt as I understand it requires a previous decision to impeed new decisions/progress because it wasn’t done properly the first time.
A better example would be he wants to add a brick chimney to the roof but can’t because the roof is made of straw thatch and can’t support the weight, so it would need to be rebuilt first out of timber, and then a chimmney can be added.

1·1 month agoAs a professional vfx artist my daily workloads could easily saturate even the most monstrous cpu. Simulations and rendering will fully peg literally any processor your throw at it. Consider at our offices we have renderfarms with literally thousands of cpu’s and we regularly send jobs that take hours even with all that processing power. So at least in the space of creative development for visual fx and games production, the single cpu advances will always be welcomed, appreciated, and fully utilized.
The latest trends of pricing on the other hand… not so much appreciated (looking at you gpu’s and ram).
I always picture a swashbuckling pirate jumping down my throat, using his knife to slow down his decent like in the cartoons when they did it to the sails on the ship. ☠️
Yeah the reduced visibility has always been a big concern for me. If I had lived in that time period, I feel I would have opted to not wear one unless in a full on battlefield where arrows are raining down.
I’ve always wondered how the fit is on those and how they were to actually wear in battle! I always imagined it to be a nuisance and get in the way of a melee battle. What did you think of the fit?
This street desperately needs some greenery in the form of trees or at least some bushes. This just looks…sad.
If it’s up to proper code then removing the battery won’t help as the detector is supposed to be hooked up to the main power, the chirp is to remind you to change the battery so that it still works in the event of a power outage.
Yep, I can’t remember the game anymore, but was super excited to be playing it as a sequel, then came upon the first escort mission… I immediatly turned the game off, and never played it again. Nothing enrages me more than artifically wasting my time/difficulty because the dev’s can’t design a mission properly without using such a shitty crutch…

1·3 months agoI’m a freelancer and a lot of my work apps require Windows or Mac. However, I remote into my company’s work machines, but the remote client doesn’t work in Linux so I have a lowered speced machine just for work, and my personal rig is much more powerful and running linux.
Even if I was freelancing completely with my own machine, I would prefer to have two seperate machines.
Just waiting for the day crowds of people like this start showing up in unmarked vans and kidnapping ICE right back. Just start swarming them and grabbing them into vans and see how they like it.
Whatever that color scheme is for all the US national parks. They picked the ugliest shades of brown and green I have ever laid eyes on. Every time I go to a national park, the facilities painted in those colors gives me a deep depression…

7·2 months agoYep I absolutely refuse to put any banking apps on my phone. The only thing that has access to my bank is me physically going there or logging into their website via my own computer. Fuck any app that asks for access to my bank account including autopay services through third parties.
The only third party service I use for payments is paypal and that only goes to my credit card.

I wasn’t replying to you to challenge your answer, I was just clarifying my original question. I would like to think you would say it would be an issue regardless of the gender of who asked. My original question is scrutinizing the original post’s intention as there are two issues present in the situation presented and at least on the surface they seem to take more of an issue because it was a man who asked. So If a woman asked that same woman the same question would she still respond with “Name 5 woman who trust you?” Just because a man is gatekeeping doesn’t mean he’s doing it only becausae she is a woman, he could just be a jackass who is gatekeeping and assuming he’s doing it only because they are a woman is reverse sexism.
I meant if a woman asked this same woman the exact same question, would it be ok? Or is it a problem ONLY because a man asked the question to a woman? I’ve had men and women both ask me patronzing gatekeeping questions, jackasses are not limited to one sex.

Thanks for the clarification, I appreciate the reply.
