When you boot up the arch iso, you can use a script called arch-install

Pardon me, pass uses GNU PGP. I got that mixed up!
GNU Pass, has been the best one so far. Set up your own git to sync it to all devices.
Honestly, the best thing I learned was:
Need to fix your system through the install medium? Save yourself keystrokes of mounting by just mounting the root subvolume (to /mnt) and then type: mount -aT /mnt/etc/fstab --target-prefix /mnt. This reads your fstab and mounts everything for you.
Thank you so much for it :D
I am using it, as an “IDE” for everything.
I think you are doing nothing wrong with choosing Lunarvim. Anyway, If you ever are unhappy with it, you can pretty much just create your own neovim config.
It’s got a pretty good community, you always find some help online. It comes per default only with “needed” plugins, which makes it a pretty nice IDE already. If you ever need more plugins, it’s also not complicated to install them,
Lunarvim
It absolutely can be only pacman, if the mirrors chosen are on the other side of the planet.
Maybe you should uncomment the country option, and specify your country and a few close to you. Latest synchronized, doesn’t mean they are close to you.
Furthermore, check your mirror’s status here
Show us your reflector conf and your mirrorlist.
It says Desktop Operating System, so I would assume not.
No money for Windows :P
Simply copying the files sure works, but I am too lazy to partition the new disk myself again. So Ii will just $dd the old disk to the new one. For that I got an m.2 USB case :)
Could work, but I migrated away from LVM to btrfs. With subvolumes and quota, I don’t need LVM anymore.
Welcome to Lemmy, glad you found your way to Archlinux :) I have ordered a USB case for my M.2.
Yeah, but don’t tell other arch users you are using EndavorOS… jk!
