Bright green for unvisited, and light purple for visited. Everything on dark backgrounds. I love nightmode on every website, way nicer on the eyes.

Just found some games on itch.io for learning Cantonese. I couldn’t find anything on steam, so I’m pretty excited. Mandarin is so much more common, but Canto is relevant and important to me, so this is a great find! I’m excited to try it out because I’ve been looking for a long time.
As someone that always customizes their hyperlink colors, it took me a moment to remember that the default was blue and purple to get the joke. If it wasn’t for the other comments, I might still be confused.
Yea, we are in for a very bad ride. :(
Now? I think it has become a bigger threat for sure, but the US has been a straight up villain to the world before this.
Damn! sounds like a nightmare. I would be so pissed if I were in that crowd.
I’ve been to a lot of mosh pits, and involuntary crowd surfing sounds insane to me.
I hate ai slop, but slop in a shitpost? im not sure how much i care. i expect a shitpost to be be shitty. there was more work in your shitpost than one of those communities that serve automated slop, so i won’t fault a shitposter for using ai here.

Turtle Island has been in crisis since the Europeans arrived. The terrorism has not stopped, and has only gotten worse.
I really like this idea, and I am a fan of the Mass Effect series and universe, but I can’t help but think that I would like this project more if you tackled the licensing hurdle by creating a unique IP with many similar aspects of the Mass Effect universe.
In a better world, we could riff more easily off of ideas; but here I see what seems like a great idea potentially shut down through IP enforcement. Even if you do get the agreement that you seek, you are having to agree to the mandate of E.A., who doesn’t have the best reputation in regards to respecting those working with them.
As much as I love Mass Effect, I think that you are better off creating an original product. I do see the benefit of piggybacking off of the fame, and your personal interest, of Mass Effect, but I personally would prefer this alternative, for whatever that may be worth to you.
Snakes, rats, sharks, and pigs. These are all beautiful animals, but describe terrible humans. These animals don’t deserve the association. I agree with you, and maybe we should stick to double-crossers, snitches, shysters, and cops or find other catchy names that work.
Better is one way to put it. Though I may end up homeless again if I can’t find some work soon. I just had a ton vet bills for a sick pet come in and I injured my leg, it’s not super great prospects at the moment. :(
I really don’t want to describe too much as my identity could be found from it, but it helped that it was all over the news. Before anyone realized that it was me, people were trying to intimidate me from the cells by yelling things at me. Once people found out that the news was about me, things turned around fast.
I was homeless, and also briefly in jail for doing something others had respected; jail sucks and is never preferable, but it certainly made things a lot easier than it would have been had I not entered with respect. On my first day I was receiving gatorades, instant noodles, and muffins from people stopping by my cell. I even was given all the paper and pencils I wanted to do my art.
Homelessness was risky, but I would still choose it over jail with respect. Not to say that the sacrifice wouldn’t be worth it if you did the right thing.
oh! I must be confused. I usually use that list as well to find brands that support the genocide, and thought I had seen it on there.
I didn’t find it there, though I did find that Blackrock is a major shareholder:
Costco’s major shareholders include institutional investors and renowned mutual funds like Vanguard Fiduciary Trust, BlackRock Advisors, State Street Corp, Geode Capital Management,…
Damn, I’ve been boycottting them for the wrong reason. I appreciate you pointing this out to me.
In my opinion reddit was bad because of the closing of the source, and centralization and administration by a single corporation interested in profits, which results in the cesspool we know reddit as today. it wasn’t bad because of the format that lemmy replicates as a link aggregator, so I agree with you on this point.
Costco is not good. Sure, unions are good because it causes corporations like costco to make decisions like like these, but I will never support a corporation that supports the genocide of the Palestinian people.
edit: Costco does not, as far as I can tell, actually support the genocide. I was mistaken, but I’m leaving it up so that the replies and subsequent conversation still make sense.
Somehow this movie has been coming up a lot lately for me. Such a classic.
No one would see it, but they may hear it.
