Stolpersteine are always installed at the last place that the person chose freely to reside, work or study.
In contrast to central memorial places, which according to Demnig can be easily avoided or bypassed, Stolpersteine represent a much deeper intrusion of memory into everyday life.
I seldom feel moved by art, but this does it for me.

I find the temporary containers extension essential. Set automatic mode and forget.
His wikipedia article is a pretty good read. Had no idea he was so religious.
