Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What YouTube channel to you has degraded in time?
6·1 day agoYes, I know of this one too. I used to have watched a lot of the “You Make It, We Skate It” videos which was a nice interaction between fans and the channel.
But then some drama and there had been numerous dramasodes happening prior to the warehouse being destroyed, where Aaron went away and it was taken over by some other guy where the videos were nothing but back-to-back SKATE games which got old quick. Aaron comes back and things seemed promising but I think more stuff happened where one of the members turned out to be a pedo. Lance ended up leaving, but he too is kindof a scientologist as well.
Then the big blow-off with the warehouse where there was a series of miscommunications, there was some grifting going on where anything the channel got monetarily and other financial sources, it got funneled into Scientology.
It was a trainwreck.

Games@lemmy.world•Evo Japan and Las Vegas 2026 lineups announced
13·1 day agoThat isn’t my point. I don’t even like Mortal Kombat.
EVO events should be reserved for games that are demanding of skill and has mechanical depth. Mortal Kombat is neither, despite the pros of that game trying to say otherwise.

11·1 day agoLol and Mortal Kombat is not one of them. How embarrassing for a fighting game series that has long fallen from grace.

Games@lemmy.world•After Black Ops 7's weaker launch, Call of Duty will no longer do back-to-back releases in the same series
321·1 day agoThe real problem is that Call of Duty is completely drained from any replay value. Why is this series still going? Why?
It isn’t even a joke anymore.
OP, if people have to do the work for you in posting sources, consider this a learning lesson as to what not to do.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do you ever feel like your life is "scripted"? Like everything is written by some entity controlling your life? Like you live in a fictional universe? Is this feeling normal/common?
3·1 day agoNot really. A lot of it is just happenstances and inconvenient coincidences.
I do have some themes going in my life though that could make it seem that way.
-
Anytime I get something good or things are looking too good to be true, there’s always something horrible or bad waiting around the corner to ruin that momentum.
-
Anytime I am randomly crying or completely angry, it sometimes can mean someone I know is either dead or suffering as proven from the times I got emotional to eventually find an obituary of someone I knew who died.
-
Irony loves to rear its head in my life now and then. In the past whenever I’ve said I never wanted to work at a fast food company, I ended up working at one.
-
Anytime I am out to get one thing or do one thing such as a single errand, it always turns out to be the most frustrating experience ever. For example, if I needed to go out and grab one product I forgot to get or needed to get, I’ll end up having to store-hop several stores before finally getting it and during that whole trip, I’m dealing with dumbass drivers and even dumber pedestrians. As well as dealing with idiotic shoppers too.
-
Anytime I needed something for emergency situations or to double-check something to be sure of it, suddenly the services I use are not available or down for maintenance.
-
Currently, I’m dealing with a series of matters that consist of things requiring me to put more effort into them. Like having to double-click things for buttons that are usually one-click or fighting with things that appear to be broken when they worked flawlessly before.

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that Anthony Kiedis of The Red Hot Chili Peppers is a self-confessed child molester, according to his autobiography 'Scar Tissue'
710·2 days agoPeople get a little weird in reception towards musicians and the things they do.
Michael Jackson is a glaring example. Sure, he was the butt-end of decades of jokes until the things he’s done with children got out for everyone to know. But still, there are millions of defenders for him who just simply - look past that. Because reasons.
And I am sure if more things came out about the rockstars boomers hail as the ‘last generation of good music’ would look past some of the things they’ve done too.
It’s fucking weird.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What YouTube channel to you has degraded in time?
224·2 days agoI remember the backlash he got from that with the IBM PC prototype. He didn’t handle the reception well if I recall, having made one big or two ‘woe is me’ videos.
There’s something about that guy’s demeanor that I never liked, like he fits the quirky, socially inept, wimpy kind of a nerd. It’s astounding he even has a wife at all, much less one he fucked to have a kid with.
He never shuts up about his crappy games too.

I skimmed it but all I ever saw was just a bunch of begat this and begat that with some quotations sprinkled in between.
And this fucking thing is partly responsible for why numerous things are going wrong with humans today and humans of history.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What can we do about the increasing problem of these self-deleting bot accounts?
5·2 days agoYeah it annoyed me when I noticed a couple of my comments disappeared after posting to those posts. I thought people were reporting and mods taking them down. I’d check the modlog and nothing. But, it is suspicious about this kind of behavior that’s been happening and again, it’s annoying. Why would anyone do that?
I think the next time we see posts like them, is to take their idea, re-word them and post them. At least that way, they’ll remain up for people who want to contribute than wasting so much of everyone’s time trying to participate.
