Basically they take a geological region from somewhere here on earth, such as Colorado or The Rocky Mountains, and take names from those regions.
Look at that mineral vein. Maybe they’ll core that?

When this image first came down I thought it looked as if someone had taken a pencil and scribbled on the side of this large rock. This is a much more plausible explanation I think.
After all this time I still love these data sheets.
