Just upgraded from a Fitbit Sense to an Apple Watch when the 9 came out. I miss sleep scores (maybe they were voodoo, but I still liked having one), the battery life, having everything in one app, and being able to track calories in/out without needing yet another app (seriously for all of the things that you can track in the Health App, not having native food tracking is wild).
All that said, there are lots of things that Apple Watch does better than my Fitbit, and I’m happy with the upgrade. But there are things I miss.
Make sure you’re looking at “Wrist Temperature.” There are a few other temperatures (body, basal body) that are not measured by the Apple Watch.
This happened to me on my last cruise. It worked a few of the nights, but the nights where the sea was rougher it just would not track my sleep. I assumed at the time that it was because the movement on the ship was enough that it registered me as tossing and turning throughout the night.
