This was a thing even into the mid 2000s in my household :)

That’s cool and all but I don’t think there’s a drug in existence which can make that webpage make sense. It’s like an HTML-CSS-fever dream
There’s easily 100 different kinds of Cola and Cola-Orange (“Spezi”) mixes produced in the EU it’s easiest to start taste-testing with everything in your local grocery store and finding out if one of them is to your liking. If you’re from Germany, there’s at least Fritz-Cola, Afri-Cola, Proviant-Cola, Paulaner Spezi (and Spezi made by many other breweries)…
hear hear
Budweiser Budvar > Carlsberg > Budweiser (US)
Tbh, how likely is it that two big ships with sonar, radar, radio communications and (possibly impaired) visibility on both sides collide by freak accident? Impossible, no of course not. But likely? Very unlikely…
Insane headline, considering the article. Didn’t expect such a bad take from the Kyiv Independent.
Not surprised at all that not a single Chinese company has exited the Russian market. Quite shocked however, that over 200 German SMEs still haven’t exited the Russian market.
Just on the verge of 900k personell… will the meatgrinder ever end…
You’re absolutely right! I should’ve said malt or grain whiskey.
The forbidden mortar lol
Tbh, I can’t stand Bourbon, regardless of country of origin. Don’t know of a single good scotch from the States though.
Good, keep your Jack Daniels and I keep my Chianti, Grappa, Merlot and Riesling. Win-win.
Seems like the AI bubble is finally global now 😂
I realize the media can and does sometimes frame politicians in the worst light possible. But my god, seeing full sessions, not just short clips of the current president and vice president (especially the Selensky debacle in the White house)… they really are acting like comic-book stooges in front of cameras
And another one
Gotta correct you there. The internet has its roots in the 1970s Arpanet (and maybe even earlier projects). You’re thinking of the World Wide Web (Webpages, HTML, HTTP) that came with Tim-Berners Lee but is built upon the pre-existing internet structures and services.
Can’t blame them. The Euro is managed quite reasonably. I can’t speak for the Swedes but the EU only has to gain from Sweden joining the Eurozone. I’ve seen people comment here that giving up currency sovereignty is a terrible idea. But what does that mean? To me it simply means that in times of crisis, governments cannot simply order their central banks to print more fiat currency. This doesn’t seem like a great long-term policy either… but then again I’m not a full-time economist.
Didn’t know that as I don’t game on PC anymore. Thanks for the info - sounds rad!
I don’t think that’s quite right. Products here usually always have their country of origin either on the product label itself or on the price label if it’s unpackaged produce. Sure, it’s extremely easy to pick the made-in-China garlic at a grocery store thinking it was grown in Germany, but usually you find a European-alternative for, in this case garlic, in the organic/Bio section.
