I still have the first gen SE. the side button doesn’t work any more. Crown button/dial does though. So it’s limited in its functionality now.

1·1 year agoI know it’s a little counterintuitive, but being able to get sound/notifications on the watch AND phone.
Save it to iCloud Files and it will sync between the two
