What an absolutely bizarre take for this sub.

But its best use right now is manipulating public opinion and creating convincing but non-legit material. As a propaganda tool it is a dream come true
And that is why it is here to stay. Lots of these AI startups may crash and burn when/if the bubble bursts, especially “this is a cool toy” companies. But companies making disinformation and surveillance their main AI focus will become huge.

There are lots of stories of data centers in the US doing exactly the same. They have been posted here on lemmy as well. And more are planned which will do more of the same there.

Movie by committee.

So you expect them to trash their career?
Yes.

Polite isn’t the same as fear. Also both your catchphrases are right wing NRA bullshit propaganda which isn’t remotely true.

And of course both in the case of US and Canada it is a legacy from the UK, which also have Common Law (unlike the rest of Europe).

It just seems extremely stressful to me. They create a fictional world through word magic in an attempt to escape reality, and the real world will constantly interfere because it is actually real unlike their fictional one. This again requires them to come up with even more word magic in a vain attempt to counter it, and so on until the real world interferes so concretely with them that they end up in jail.

I gather you have never encountered sovcits on the internet before? This is oldschool sovcit magic wordsalad, they excelled in it long before the invention of LLMs.

Both things can be true. In fact it is more than likely that cryptobros are misogynist dipshits.

Indeed. But parts of were, and the guillotine was certainly used during those.

Please don’t throw stones when you obviously live in a glass house.

The part following the calling of the Estates General. You know, the actual Revolution. You seem intently focused on the phases just prior to the actual Revolution for some bizarre reason.

That is a disingenous description. You are just describing the initial phase, basically even before the Revolution even started. It very quickly escalated to become something very different.

They really cooked that duck to cinders. Waste of perfectly good meat.
That is not how the development of language works in any way though.

The Visit of the Royal Physician by P.O. Enquist
It was the basis for the movie A Royal Affair with Mads Mikkelsen. But I am not particular fond of the movie. While the book does take some liberties with history, it is generally well founded in the scholarship of the day about subject, but the movie simplifies and changes so much to cram it all in its timespan that it becomes quite ridiculous. But I can recommend the book as a historical romance.

It also won’t occur to him that just because something happened in a different country, doesn’t mean we have to accept it here. We have a Constitution, that’s the rule book, not some nation on the other side of the world.
It boggles my mind that there are still Americans who cling to legalism as some kind of saviour, even after all the months of proof that it is absolutely no barrier to the fascists doing exactly what they want.
AI is going to grow into an invaluable tool for people or agencies interested in doxxing people on the internet. The prospect is quite scary.
Det er der desværre en del folk der er.
